Principal Advisors
JULIE GODFREY
Julie is a corporate finance executive who has been actively involved in corporate transactions for over 15 years. Her background is in corporate advisory and transaction management services to business owners, investment banks and deal originators to assist in the initiation and management of corporate finance transactions including Initial Public Offerings, Capital Raisings, Mergers and Acquisitions.
Julie has extensive experience working with private enterprises during times of growth, succession and exit. She has provided corporate advisory and consulting services to entrepreneurs, business owners and chief executives.
Through working with private enterprises and family businesses in the small and medium sized business sector, Julie identified the demand for an integrated service offering that provides solutions to their commercial, financial and management issues. She established The Continuity Alliance in 2004.
Her academic qualifications include a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Certificate in Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Securities Institute of Australia.
Julie is the Responsible Officer for the Australian Financial Services Licence No. 271471.
KATHRYN RITCHIE
Kathryn is one of the leading business performance facilitators and executive coaches in Australia today. She has 19 years experience in business strategy, organisational development and management consulting, 12 years of which have been in her own consulting practice.
She has worked across a broad range of industry sectors undertaking consulting projects in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and North America.
Prior to having her own business, Kathryn was a partner within a consultancy which specialised in major organisational change and the development of constructive organisational cultures. She spent 3 years with Macquarie Bank where she worked in Investment Services across organisational development, line management and marketing roles. She also consulted on major projects undertaken by the wholesale funds management team.
Kathryn has an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. She was awarded the chairman’s Prize for the graduate who best demonstrated the capabilities of corporate leadership and management. She has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Applied Science) from the University of Queensland. Kathryn is currently a Fellow on the St John’s College Council, University of Sydney.

GREGORY PYNT
Greg’s business experience is a blend of operational management and investment banking.
He completed a B.Com (hons) and MBA at UNSW part time while working for BHP Co Ltd and Philips Industries during the 1960’s. During the 1970’s and early 1980’s he held several line management roles in public companies, concentrating on rejuvenating businesses that were poorly performing.
In 1984 he joined Kleinwort Benson, a major English merchant bank in the role of corporate adviser, concentrating on hostile takeovers. This role developed into specialising in IPO’s and capital raising.
Greg has been involved in several of the largest IPO’s and privatisations in Australia and in the only privatisation in PNG. He held lead roles in the Qantas, Telstra 2 and Orogen Minerals privatisations and in the IPO of Westfield America Trust. He has been involved in numerous other floats and M&A transactions ranging in size from $4m to $200m.
More recently he has taken these skills into a private practice and has no affiliations with any bank or stockbroker.
LUCIO DANA
Lucio Dana is a leading family business adviser and facilitator. He works with business owner-managers and their professional advisers to deal with three critical business continuity issues: survival, sustainable success and succession.
Lucio’s advisory style is energetic and personable. In his own unique way, he inspires family members to envision and plan their future together. He then helps them to implement their plans and stay on track. Throughout the facilitation and advisory process, Lucio gives valuable ongoing guidance, support and assistance to family members who are committed to doing that needs to be done to make the family business work.
Over the past 35 years, Lucio’s extensive professional and business expertise has included: a partnership of Macpherson & Kelley, Solicitors; owner-manager of a manufacturing family business; Chief Executive Officer of National Mortgage Market Corporation Ltd; and, currently, Director of Family Business Dynamics.
Lucio is the co-author of “Family Business Succession Planning: A 10 Step Guide 2000 CPD” and “Succession Matters: the Australian Family Business Survey 2000”. He was also consultant and lecturer in Family Business Programs at the Monash University, Melbourne from 1998-2002.
